I am open to all types and styles of arguments (excluding racism good, unless it's an Irony debate). Being close minded is a human trait; some people are more close minded than others. This does not mean I am close minded to a different, yet a challenging, position on the subject. I just don't see the value or "Imapct" to such argument. If you disagree, challege it. I am open to challenges. The rebuttals are not only times to tell why someone is winning, but also why someone should not be loosing to all of the critical arguments that are relevant and defended by the opposing team. There is a difference between the two. Projects and performances should clearly outline the purpose of everyone in the room. I dislike to intervene, although it seems unavoidable. Finally, I appreciate effective and strategic overviwes (esp. in debates where the 2nR goes for multiple positions). |
