NFL Executive Secretary Scott Wunn has posted about the controversy related to the sponsorship of PF topics. My reaction:

I was fortunate that at Olympus specifically, and in Utah generally, high-school debate was a big deal, an activity where a bookish boy could find affirmation. I joined the debate team, found my tribe, and was off.

The U.S. should reduce its military presence in Okinawa and abandon plants to expand to Futenma. This will improve relations with Japan and boost U.S. leadership in Asia

This weeks Planet Debate politics release features the Health Care DA.  This week Obama has again had numerous meetings with Capitol Hill advisers over Health Care overhaul.  His looming deadline has exerted pressure on the Congress to pass overhaul prior to the Easter Recess.

This weekend, Andrew Markoff, president of the National Forensic League chapter at the Bronx High School of Science, won his 390th debate round, breaking the thirty-three-year-old win count record of the Bronx Science Speech & Debate Team.

James attended the National Tournament of Champions on three occasions, amassing awards each time and winning the 2006 championship. This is James' second year teaching Public Forum.
